Marilyn is an accredited growth coach and she has extensive experience in teaching, primary school principalship, teacher education and leadership development. She is also experienced in the appraisal and coaching of senior leadership teams and principals. She works as a consultant in The Education Group, an independent education consulting company, based in Auckland.

Prior to her work with The Education Group, Marilyn was an experienced primary school principal. During May-July 2021, Marilyn was invited to be the Acting Principal in a semi-rural school in the Manawatū region of Aotearoa where she renewed her skills and knowledge in leading and managing a school and integrated the GROWTH Coaching framework into her daily work with staff and with students.

Special interest areas include coaching, mentoring, leadership development and in supporting colleagues at all stages in their careers.
