Marian Grant
Marian comes to the team following an extensive career education as a teacher, Principal and Director. She is an accredited leadership coach and is passionate about the capacity coaching has to bring about improved teacher practice, school leadership and management and enriching students’ learning.
Marian knows that high quality professional learning is key to developing leaders who are able to develop strong teams explicitly focused on making a real difference to student outcomes. She is also convinced that professional learning supported by explicit coaching increases engagement, leading to sustained actions and increasing the confidence and capabilities of people to thoughtfully improve practice.
Marian is also interested in working with organisations to develop and sustain a coaching culture which enhances interactions and conversations and develops self-efficacy and a culture of improvement. In schools she is especially committed to teachers and students engaging in coaching conversations to develop and embed 21st Century learning skills in the classroom.
Marian holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education from Macquarie University and a Master of Education from Charles Sturt University. She is a GCI Accredited Coach and has completed Mediation in The Workplace from the Australian Commercial Disputes Centre. Marian has a love of professional and personal development and is a Facilitator for ‘Great Leaders Great Teams Great Results’ and ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’.
