David Garner
Dave has worked in education in Victoria for over twenty years as a classroom teacher, Numeracy Coach, Leading Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal in Government schools across the Western Suburbs and Central Highlands areas. These roles have included both Primary and P-12 schools and included serving on the Executive Team/s of Principal Networks. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Principal Preparation and a Masters of School Leadership (Numeracy), both from Monash University.
As a Senior Consultant in Victoria, Dave facilitates a broad range of GCI courses, and works closely with schools and networks, supporting them to develop their own “coaching cultures.” He has a strong passion for leadership development and capacity building for aspiring leaders and leaders. Dave has extensive experience in leading schools, and brings this lens to all his facilitation and coaching relationships/partnerships.
Dave has worked and led across a variety of Primary and P-12 schools as an instructional leader, and has had extensive experience in curriculum and assessment design, data-informed practice and high-level organisational design and strategic planning. He has been a systems leader across multiple Network Executive Teams in the Central Highlands.
