Andrew Macdonald-Brown
Andrew is an experienced coach, leadership development and coaching facilitator, with an extensive background in school leadership and professional learning spanning over 30 years.
He is an accredited leadership coach and a licenced leadership development workshop facilitator. Andrew is a fully trained Co-Active® professional coach and is ACC accredited (Associate Certified Coach) through the International Coach Federation. He has been using coaching as a senior leader in education settings for over 20 years and now coaches professionals in different walks of life, primarily those in leadership roles in education settings.
He has designed and delivered leadership development programs at middle and senior leadership levels, and facilitated on NCTL and COBIS accredited school leadership programs in the UK and internationally. Additionally, he has designed and delivered coaching development programs specifically for education settings.
His time as a senior leader in the UK and internationally has given him a deep understanding of the challenges of leadership. Additionally, having implemented several coaching programs as a school leader he understands the challenges and many benefits of developing a coaching culture in a school setting.
He brings a calm, intuitive, supportive yet challenging approach to maximise learning and development through coaching and facilitation, with an ability to distil and summarise ideas in a way that helps people ‘make sense of things’.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Science Hons degree from the University of Surrey; a Post Graduate Certificate in Education; a National Professional Qualification for Headteachers from NCSL (UK); and an ACC from the ICF. He is also trained in Mental Fitness coaching and holds a CPQC (Certified Positive Intelligence Coach), and is certified in Team (Organisation, Relationship and System ORSC) coaching.
